Our Story

Nisarga Greens is a 10-acre organic integrated farm located amidst the serene paddy fields and rolling hills of Palakkad, Kerala in Polpully. Rooted in sustainability and nurtured by passion, the farm blends traditional wisdom with modern organic farming practices to create a self-sustaining ecosystem of crops, animals, and people. Two ponds, one of which is beautiful lotus pond, add touch of heavenly beauty to the farm.

Nisarga translates to ‘Nature’ in English. Founded by a professional couple with a shared love for nature and global exposure, Nisarga Greens began as a small pilot initiative in sustainable agriculture. What started as a personal experiment has now evolved into a model organic integrated farm, inspiring nearby farmers and visitors alike.

Our farm adopts a holistic approach combining modern agricultural technologies with eco-friendly traditional methods, including:

Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems for efficient water use
Water recycling: nutrient-rich fish pond water irrigates crops

Model Farm

Today, Nisarga Greens stands as a demonstration farm where other farmers and agriculturists come to learn organic and sustainable farming practices and visitors come to experience the harmony of nature.

The farm has also become a popular venue for intimate weddings, corporate retreats, photoshoots, and a potential location for films and serials, owing to its scenic charm and peaceful ambience.

Nishanth C
Farm Caretaker

Nishanth is a dependable and committed member of the Nisarga Greens team. Despite coming from a non-farming background, he has successfully acquired comprehensive knowledge of farm operations through hands-on learning and experience over the past three years that he has been with us.

As the Farm Caretaker, Nishanth plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and serves as the vital link between the farm’s leadership and the on-ground workforce, facilitating clear communication, coordination, and efficient execution of tasks.

Residing in the farm’s staff quarters with his wife and two children, Nishanth ensures continuous on-site oversight and attentive care of the farm, reflecting his strong sense of responsibility and commitment to its well-being.

R. Vinod
Farm Manager

Vinod is an accomplished agricultural professional with nearly three decades of hands-on experience in farm operations, plantation management, and team leadership. His career spans reputed organizations including Coonoor Tea Estates Company, Harrisons Malayalam, Tea Estates of the Woodbriar Group, Alchem International, and Alkaloids.

With a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the College of Agriculture, Nagpur, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Plantation Management from Kothari Agriculture Management Centre, Coonoor, he brings deep expertise in crop planning, sustainable cultivation practices, and efficient farm systems.

At Nisarga Greens, he leads day-to-day farm operations, fostering harmony between soil, crops, animals, and people while advancing the farm’s commitment to organic, regenerative, and self-sustaining agriculture. His leadership blends traditional farming wisdom with practical innovation to nurture both the land and the community it supports.
